Welcome to Troop 7862 for Girls! We were founded in 2021 and we serve girls age 11 through 17 in the Lake Travis area of Western Travis County. We meet every Monday at Bee Creek United Methodist Church from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Feel free to stop by and see what we are all about! For more information, please email scoutmaster@troop7862.org. Troop 7862 prides itself in being a Scout-run Troop, where the decisions and plans are made by the Scouts with the guidance, but not interference of the adults. Every girl is required to hold leadership positions as she advances in rank. She is encouraged to step up and hold positions of increasing responsibility as hse progresses on her trail to Eagle. The leadership team meets monthly to set the program and plan the meetings and outings. The program is outdoor based with an emphasis on having fun, learning Scout skills, and advancement. The program is anchored by weeklong summer camps each summer, monthly outings, Sea Base and Philmont trips, as well as other activities planned by the girl leaders and Troop Committee. This mix of adult and girl leaders manifests itself in the large percentage of scouts who have attained the rank of Eagle.
